Meet The Designer: Nagma Giri ( MSc, BA (HONS) )

Textile Designer Nagma Giri (MSc, BA(HONS)) established 'Fariya Designs' to feature her in house collections and provide made to measure service to help clients who are struggling to find the right size clothes when shopping either online or on the high street. Before this, she was successfully running a clothing boutique which was based in Newark and was selling independent brands sourced from visiting trade shows such as 'Pure London', 'LondonEdge' and 'Moda'. Her background in textile designs lead to establishing the clothing boutique refining her skills in fashion business. As her passion for the business grew she advanced her skills further and achieved a First Class in 'Master of Science in Fashion Management'. During her masters, she was inspired to create her own designs and feature her handmade design collections, which lead her to establish 'Fariya Designs' in 2018.

 She has honed both her design and business skills to create the brand and now hand makes gowns for various occasions such as bridal, bridesmaid, flower girls along with design for prom and cruise. For the past year, Fariya Designs was based in Derby, however, in 2020 it has moved to Newark at 35 Appletongate. The new location is perfect for after hours service for clients who are not able to visit due to busy schedules.
